Apprenticeship: Sub Groups meet each Week, Monday through Saturday

CCLD (Center for Conscious Living & Dying) believes that tending to one another in our final days is an intrinsic part of our humanity. This program is designed to help us remember a time-honored approach to companioning each other—and ourselves—through the dying process, a tradition so old, it feels refreshingly new. This program brings love, wholeness, and deep witnessing not only to the last breath the body takes but also to the little “deaths” in life along the way.

By remembering how to serve at the bedside, we enhance our ability to live consciously, holding up a mirror to our own lives. In turn, living consciously enriches our capacity to serve those at the bedside. This reciprocal experience invites you to cultivate a meaningful relationship with death so you can live more fully now.

CCLD’s End of Life Doula Program equips you with valuable knowledge for assisting people through the dying process, after-death care, and grief support. In this program, you learn the many dimensions of providing compassionate care at the end of life, including an emphasis on personal and collective healing. The course has three components: live online classes, an in-person retreat, and an internship at CCLD.
